Sales Associate
A Bit About the Job:
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their inquiries and purchases
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor, including restocking shelves and arranging merchandise
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently
- Communicate product knowledge and features to customers
- Answer phone calls and respond to customer inquiries with professionalism and courtesy
Must Haves:
- Strong organizational skills to maintain a tidy sales floor and effectively manage inventory
- Proficient in English language, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate with customers
- A Willingness to learn the product and industry
- The highest level of hospitality to give our customers the best shopping experience
- Excellent phone etiquette to handle customer inquiries professionally and efficiently
Nice to Haves:
- Knowledge or experience in the bike or outdoors industry
- Previous experience in retail sales is preferred but not required
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Salary: $18.00-$22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 35 per week

Mountain Bike & Suspension Technician - Full Time, Relocation Assistance Available
Come work in a spacious, professional, well-equipped shop with cutting-edge technology and lots of learning opportunities. Oak Bay Bikes is looking for an experienced full-time dedicated mountain bike & suspension tech. We work on brands like Fox, RockShox, Öhlins, SR Suntour, EXT Racing Shox, DVO, and more, and provide tune-ups on all types of mountain bikes.
A Bit About The Job:
- Diagnosing and repairing mountain bikes, forks, and shocks
- Creating detailed work orders, following instructions
- Contacting customers about your work
- Completing repairs within the allotted time
A Bit About You:
- 2+ years of MTB and suspension servicing experience (we will not train on the job)
- Experience with any of the suspension brands listed above
- Effective time management skills
- Extensive knowledge of mountain bike components and brands
- High standards for the quality of their work
- The ability to provide excellent customer service over the phone or in person
- A desire to continually learn proper service methods and new technologies

Service Writer/Advisor - Full Time
Come work in a spacious, professional, well-equipped shop with cutting-edge technology and lots of learning opportunities. Oak Bay Bikes is looking for a service and sales inclined individual who is stoked to work in a fast paced environment.
A Bit About the Job:
- Assess bikes and diagnose problems with bikes that come in for servicing
- Communicate the service plan, timeline and provide quotes for the customer
- Prepare detailed work orders for bicycles
- Complete basic on-the-spot repairs such as flat repairs, chain replacements, installing new cables, etc.
- Daily maintenance and upkeep of your workstation
- Prior mechanic experience is preferred but not required

- You are self-motivated, positive, team-focused and willing to pitch in
- You have effective communication and hospitality skills
- You are thorough and pay attention to the details
- Eagerness to learn the ins and outs of servicing bicycles and working with customers
- A desire to continually learn proper service methods and new technologies

Bicycle Technician - Full Time
Come work in a spacious, professional, well-equipped shop with cutting-edge technology and lots of learning opportunities. Oak Bay Bikes is looking for a mechanically inclined individual who is stoked to work in a fast paced environment.
A Bit About the Job:
- Follow prescribed service tickets to prepare bicycles for the processing line.
- Depending on experience duties could include advanced technical skills of component replacement such as; brake bleeds, bearing installation, suspension overhauls, truing wheels, tubeless tire installation, derailleur tuning/adjustment, and final quality control check.
- Daily maintenance and upkeep of your workstation.
A Bit About You:
- You are Self-motivated, positive, team-focused, and willing to pitch in
- You have effective communication skills and hospitality skills
- You are thorough and pay attention to the details
- Eagerness to learn the ins and outs of servicing bicycles
- A desire to continually learn proper service methods and new technologies
- You have at least 2 years experience working as a Bike Technician
Assets:
- Positive attitude
- Familiar with Ascend RMS
- High-end road bike repair experience
- Mountain bike repair experience
- Enjoys cycling!
