Warranty Claim Policy

• As a shop we are always happy to be the intermediary between you as a customer and the brands we represent when a warranty issue arises.  Oak Bay Bikes is not responsible for replacing parts or bicycles that are under a manufacturer’s warranty. We will, however, do our best to ensure a speedy and accurate claim is made on your behalf.
• If  you purchased a bicycle or component from Oak Bay Bikes, the service department will waive the labour and shipping costs on any approved warranty claim for up to one year from original purchase.  Any warranty claims made outside of one year from purchase will be subject to normal labour and shipping costs. Labour costs on crash replacement claims will not be covered by Oak Bay Bikes, and will be subject to normal shop service department pricing.
• Oak Bay Bicycles Service Department is happy to warranty parts and bicycles that have been purchased elsewhere for a $49 fee, plus any labour or shipping costs associated.  We are only able to pursue warranties from brands that we sell in-shop. 
• If you would like to pursue a warranty claim, please bring your original proof of purchase. Even if a product was purchased at Oak Bay Bikes, we may not have the original proof of purchase on file, and are not responsible for providing you with a proof of purchase.
