Rentals include a helmet, lock, and your choice of platform or clipless pedals - we’re happy to install your own if you bring them. Plus, we offer drop-off and pick-up for rental bikes and stock everything you need for the perfect ride!
Want to try and e-bike before you buy one? Our Demo on Demand program allows you to demo an e-bike (city or E-MTB) and you can apply up to $300 from your rental towards the purchase of your new bike!

Accessories Included
All of our rentals include a helmet, lock and pedals. We offer the option of platform or clipless pedals with each rental, and if you provide your own we're happy to install them for you. We also stock and sell all the gear you need for a perfect ride, including nutrition and hydration.

How far is your shop from downtown Victoria?
The rental shop is located at 1990 Oak Bay Ave. It’s a 4 km (2 ½ mile), 8 min drive from downtown Victoria or a 15 min bus ride on BC Transit #2, #5, #14 or #15.
Is there a minimum age to rent a bike from us?
Yes, you must be 18 years of age or older to rent a bike from us. Even if you are accompanied by a parent, you must be at least 18 years of age to rent a bike.
Can I get my rental bike delivered to my hotel?
Yes, we offer bike pick-up and delivery to any hotel in Greater Victoria. Please send us an email or call to arrange the details: rentals@oakbaybikes.com or 1-250-598-4111 ext. 1
Do you deliver bikes to trails around Victoria?
Yes, we can deliver bikes to trails near Victoria, BC, including the Langford Gravity Zone/Jordie Lunn Bike Park, Thetis Lake Regional Park, and Hartland/Mt. Work Regional Park. All deliveries must be scheduled at least 7 days ahead of the scheduled rental. Delivery charges will apply and no refunds are given for cancellations less than 24 hours before drop-off or pick-up date. Where are the best places to ride Mountain Bikes in Victoria?
The nearest trails to downtown Victoria, BC include the Langford Gravity Zone/Jordie Lunn Bike Park, Thetis Lake Regional Park, and Hartland/Mt. Work Regional Park. All are well-documented on Trailforks and other mapping services. We are happy to recommend specific trails and riding locations depending on what type of riding you prefer!
Where are the best places to ride city bikes in Victoria?
Victoria features some of the most comprehensive bike infrastructure in Canada, making for a pleasant experience almost anywhere you ride! The Galloping Goose and Lochside trails offer beautiful views and surroundings, completely free of cars. The Seaside Touring Route follows Victoria's coastline with stunning views toward the Olympic Mountains and San Juan Islands.
What is your Rental Cancellation Policy?
Bookings must be canceled at least 24 hours prior to the rental date to receive a full refund.
Rental Rules
1. You must sign a waiver before you rent a bike from us.
2. You must be 19 years of age or older to rent a bike.
3. You are responsible for the bike if it gets stolen.
4. You are responsible for any damage that may occur to the bike, including flats. We do a thorough check-over when the bike goes out and again when it comes back in.
5. You must obey all applicable laws while riding our bikes. This means you must wear a helmet, and you must have lights if you’re riding after dusk.
6. You are responsible for bringing your own tools, tubes, pumps, water bottles, etc. out on your rides. We offer tool kits that include a pump, a tube, tire levers, and a multi-tool; there is no extra charge if you use the tube from the kit on a flat.
