Cyclo-cross bikes like the early Double Cross frame were the "ride-it-all" bikes of their time allowing cyclists to use them as road bikes, light touring, off-roading, as well as mixing it up in CX races. Recently though, the gravel bike has become the new king of "ride-it-all". With just a few changes in BB height and head tube angle, we made the Double Cross more stable for gravel and touring, more fun on trails, and still a versatile and fast commuter. – Tange Prestige heat-treated CrMo steel front triangle; butted CrMo rear end. Top tube is ovalized for greater lateral rigidity w/o sacrificing vertical compliance. Sizes 62cm and up have stiffer downtubes to suit larger/stronger riders. – Disc mount is located on the chainstay which allows you to put almost any rear rack or fender on it without fear of interference. Rear disc brake mount is now "flat mount" and fits 140mm rotors (160mm with adapter) – Clearance for 700x45c tires (40c w/fenders. Some front derailleurs may reduce this clearance) We recommend 650b/27.5" wheels for 42cm size to reduce toe overlap with the front wheel. – Rear rack and fender eyelets – Rear hub spacing is 135mm (10mm axle QR hubs) – 1-1/8" size headtube (for external cup headsets / EC34) – 4.25 lbs (50cm) – Color: Matte Black

The original inspiration for the Wolverine was “monster cross”, but it is seriously so much more. Its geometry is stable enough for off road touring, but sporty enough for all-around adventure. With its sliding dropouts, you can turn it into a single-speed CX bike. With a split seatstay, it is compatible with the Gates Carbon Belt Drive. The primary differences between the 4.0 and 4.1 is that the frame and forks now fit the flat mount brake standard. The A-Type has more modern standards than the B-Type, such as 142mm rear thru-axle and a 44mm headtube that will fit 1-1/8 straight steerer or tapered steerer forks with the proper headset type. There is NO frame break for Belt-Drive on the A-Type Wolverine. (See chart in photo gallery for other differences between A and B) - Tange Prestige butted and heat-treated CrMo front and rear triangle - Clearance for 700x45c tires w/ fenders - Rear hub spacing:135mm (10mm QR, can be upgraded to 142mm 12mm TA with different inserts ) - Gates Carbon belt drive compatible - IRD Broski sliding dropouts allow for geared or single-speed builds - Optional Matching Forks: A) Lugged flat crown standard QR axle, Tange Infinity CrMo steel fork with double eyelets pannier rack and mini rack mounts.
