Mountain Bikes

Vancouver Island is a unique place in the world, not simply because of the vast network of trails so easily accessible but because the variety of styles provides riding for nearly everyone. Each coastal town boasts a vibrant mountain biking community with their own distinct riding style and culture.

Trail

To some, it’s about carving endless ribbons of buff, flowy singletrack. To others, it’s the challenge of punchy trails, technical climbs and off-camber roots. A trail bike is versatile, light, and exceedingly capable, climbing as well as they descend and conquering trails. It's the right bike for anything from a quick stint on the trails to a brutal day of racing.

NORCO Optic

Using?Norco's holistic approach to fit, geometry and suspension?kinematics, the Optic’s playfully aggressive personality is complemented by 125mm of rear travel via a full-custom RockShox Super Deluxe Ultimate DH rear shock, and a 140mm Pike Select fork.

To add to its high-speed trail performance, the Optic FS 2 features SRAM GX Eagle 12-speed drivetrain with GX DUB crank. Shimano MT520 4-piston 180mm brakes control speed, and the light weight, robust wheels feature Stans Flow S1 rims on DT Swiss 350 Boost hubs.

NORCO Fluid

The Fluid's frame progressive design provides a unique combination of fit, handling and suspension design to elevate your trail experience. The frame’s size-scale maintains ride quality across all frame sizes, and features internal cable routing for clean lines and a quiet ride.

With models designed around both 27.5 and 29-inch wheels depending on frame size, the Fluid FS 1 features 130mm of Rockshox Pike Select fork travel paired to 120mm of RockShox Deluxe Select rear suspension.

TREK Fuel EX

The Fuel EX 9.8 is the carbon trail bike that can fly through singletrack, throw down with the rowdy trail crew, and crush miles during marathon races.

A lightweight full OCLV Mountain Carbon frame, 1x12 SRAM GX Eagle drivetrain, carbon wheels, and FOX Performance Float suspension with Trek's exclusive RE:aktiv with Thru Shaft shock make it the perfect choice for all-mountain shredders who want a single bike that does it all.

JULIANA Maverick

With 140mm of supportive rear travel complimented by 150mm of front suspension and obstacle eating 29” wheels, this bike isn’t measured by what it can do. It’s measured by what’s left to do.

The lower link VPP suspension soaks up big bumps with a pedal-efficient design that’s easy to tune exactly how you want it. Whether you’re hauling down root waterfalls, biting into big ledges, or soaking up the chatter, the Maverick isn’t here to tell you how to ride -- she enables you to ride wherever you decide.

SANTA CRUZ Tallboy

It’s the kind of bike that makes you sprint while going up, along, over, or down due to the maximum efficiency of the VPP design and responsive, lightweight chassis.

But because it shares the same engineering principles as Santa Cruz' longest travel bikes, the progressive lower link-mounted shock feels equally at home doing cross-country as it does in extreme-country. Paired with a 130mm fork the new Tallboy becomes ever more appealing to riders who like to open it up.

SCOTT Genius

The Genius rethinking was bred through the idea that a trail bike must be as versatile as possible to be effective, starting with the popular TwinLoc suspension remote lever, which actuates both the fork and the rear shock.

TwinLoc allows riders to remotely adjust suspension into three unique spring and compression dampening curves for the front suspension and rear shock (150mm, 100mm and lockout), to completely transform the bike according to terrain. This allows the bike to be as adjustable and versatile as possible for every type of trail bike rider.

Enduro and all mountain ..

Charge fearlessly down the mountain, then pedal back to the top to do it again. Enduro bikes are purpose-built to take on anything in their way while being capable and efficient when scrambling up those punishing climbs. Modern bike trails take us all over the mountain. You need a reliable tool that takes you up the climbs with ease and gets you down the trails in a flash.

NORCO Sight

By re-imagining how to design bikes, Norco's engineering department shattered the status quo with the Ride Aligned™ design system, addressing how a rider’s centre of gravity impacts the bike’s performance and then built the Sight's all-mountain design and frame around that.

The Sight A2 offers 150mm of Fox Float X2 Performance travel in both 29 and 27.5-inch wheel options to suit every rider’s preference, and is equipped with a Fox Float 36 Rhythm fork. The SRAM NX/GX Eagle drivetrain and Code R disc brakes keep things going and slowing, while the TranzX dropper offers size-specific drop.

SANTA CRUZ Megatower

In order to make the Megatower stride confidently across the globe it has an enormous amount of clever adjustability hidden in its bones. A tidy and concealed flip chip in the lower-link adjusts bottom bracket height and changes progressivity of the rear suspension.

The flip chips are a robust mechanism for riders looking to tune their ride according to their needs without compromising reliability and durability. No wackadoo mousetraps and frail proprietary shocks here.

SCOTT Ransom

This being Scott, their near-ubiquitous TwinLoc suspension system makes an appearance here. The idea is this: with the flick of a thumb lever, the rear suspension travel goes from 170 to 120mm travel to make it climb like a cross-country bike.

Traction mode also raises the bottom bracket 20mm, makes the head and seat tube angles 1.5 degrees steeper on a 15 degree incline, and places the rider in a better climbing position. Need to take a gravel road to the next trail head? Use the bike’s lockout mode for a truly efficient bike.

Hardtails - the workhorse of the mountain biking world ..

.. lighter, simpler, less expensive, more durable, and more reliable than a frame with rear suspension. If you’re looking for an efficient race machine, a carbon fibre hardtail might be the bike for you. Hardtails also make great adventure bikes for bikepacking. Build a hardtail with a longer-travel fork and plus-size tires and you’ll have a fun ripper for romping around your local trails.

TREK 1120

1120 is a bikepacker's dream. A rugged all-terrain frame, 29+ tires, an included rack system, and mountain-ready spec like a 1x drivetrain add up to a touring bike with unlimited off-road capability.

This bike is built to explore the most extreme backcountry destinations in the farthest reaches of the world, and it's great for fast overnight bikepacking trips and sub-24s, too.

NORCO Torrent

If you want to get back to the basics, the Torrent is the way to go – it’s an aggressive, high-speed hardtail that eats hype for dinner, and lets you prove your mettle on the toughest trails.

The Torrent's unique combination of longer reach, slacker head tube angle?and steep seat tube angle provides a more forward weight distribution within a longer wheelbase. This allows more powerful pedaling, increased climbing traction and added grip and control when?descending.

NORCO Storm

With a comfortable, capable off-road design, the Storm's frame capable of leading a double life on city streets and park paths. Designed with our holistic approach to fit and geometry, the Storm provides more powerful, efficient pedaling, increased climbing traction and added grip and control when?descending.

Electric assist - power up, charge down.

Electric mountain bikes are here, growing in popularity, and despite some access concerns continue to get better, more enjoyable to ride. Their small motors help you ride faster, farther, and can making challenging climbs less daunting. Every bike we sell uses a mid-drive (instead of a hub) motor and for good reason. A mid-drive motor builds a bike with better weight distribution. Plus keeping the wheels light helps the rear suspension perform better.

NORCO Sight VLT

Norco took all of the aggressive all-mountain qualities you love about the pedal Sight and wrapped them into a seamless, extremely capable electric-assist package.

Modern geometry and optimized suspension kinematics allow you to charge down the rowdiest descents – again and again.
