These are some of our favourite places to ride around Vancouver Island - in order of closest to furthest from downtown Victoria.


Hartland Trail Network (Mount Work Regional Park), Saanich


Skill Level:  Intermediate to Advance

20 km (12 miles) 30 min drive or take our Shuttle Service from Downtown Victoria.


Hartland Trail Network (Mount Work Regional Park) is one of the most popular destinations for local mountain bikers that live in Victoria BC. The area is known for its challenging and varied trails featuring a network of single-track trails with a mix of rocky, technical terrain and fast, flowy sections suitable for riders of all skill levels.

Some of the most popular trails at Mount Work include the Torpedo Run, Sofa King, and Dave’s Line, which offer a mix of jumps, drops, and tight turns. For more advanced riders, the park also has a number of black diamond trails, such as the Snakes and Ladders and 90’s Jank, Organ Donor, and Hot Cherry known for their steep descents, technical features, and rough terrain.

In addition to the single-track trails, Mount Work also has a network of fire roads and multi-use trails suitable for riders of all abilities. The park also features a number of scenic viewpoints, picnic areas, and rest stops, making it a great place to spend a day riding, exploring, and enjoying the area's natural beauty.

Jordie Lunn Bike Park, Langford


Skill Level:  Beginner, Intermediate, Advance

Facilities Included: Cyclocross, Jump Zone, pump Track, Skill Zone, Pro Jump Line

The bike park had significant upgrades in 2021 and is also a 30 min drive from downtown Victoria, BC. 

Featuring flowy single track, technical descents, and challenging climbs. Some of the most popular trails at Jordi Lunn Bike Park include "Gold Rush," a mellow flowy descent that's perfect for intermediate riders, “Berm Reynolds,” for those seeking something steep and fast and "On the Rocks," a physical and technical trail with vertical rock rolls that is for experienced riders.

In addition to its diverse array of trails, Jordi Lunn Bike Park also features a jump zone, skills zone and two pump tracks designed to challenge riders and add an extra level of excitement to the beginning or end of their rides. 

Whether you're an experienced rider looking for a challenging experience or a beginner just starting out, Jordi Lunn Bike Park has something to offer. Its well-maintained trails and friendly atmosphere make it a great place to spend a day riding and exploring the beautiful BC wilderness.

Harbour View Mountain Bike Trails, Sooke BC

Skill Level: Advanced

36 km (12 miles) 50 min drive from downtown Victoria, BC.


Harbourview Mountain Biking Trails is a network of singletrack trails located in the heart of Sooke, BC. The trail system is accessible year-round and is suitable for intermediate to advanced riders.The trails are located in the hills above the town of Sooke and offer stunning views of the surrounding area, including the Strait of Juan de Fuca and the Olympic Mountains.

The Harbourview trail system features a variety of different trails, ranging from easy and mellow trails for beginners to more technical and challenging trails for advanced riders. Some of the more popular trails include The Plunge, a steep and technical downhill trail, and The Flow, a fast and flowing trail that is great for riders of all skill levels.

The trail system is maintained by the Sooke Bike Club, a local organization that works to promote mountain biking in the area. The trails are well-marked and well-maintained, making it easy for riders to navigate the network of trails.

Mount Tzouhalem, Duncan BC

Skill Level: Beginner, Intermediate, Advance

68 km (42 miles) 1 hour drive from downtown Victoria, BC.


Mount Tzouhalem is a popular mountain biking destination located in the heart of the Cowichan Valley on Vancouver Island. The mountain is home to a network of challenging and technical trails that wind through dense forests and rocky terrain, offering riders a variety of terrain to explore.

The trails at Mount Tzouhalem are maintained by the Cowichan Trail Stewardship Society and offer a range of difficulties from easy to expert, making it a great place for riders of all skill levels. The trails are well-marked and feature a mix of flowy singletrack, steep descents, technical rock gardens, and challenging climbs.

One of the most popular trails at Mount Tzouhalem is "Double D," a fast and flowy trail that winds through the forest and features numerous jumps and berms. Another popular trail is "Deadwood," a technical trail that requires advanced riding skills as it winds through rocky terrain and steep sections.
