Employee Bike Check: Dan's Custom 2023 Norco Fluid FS A2

After a season (and a few enduro races) rattling his bones on a Norco Torrent hardtail, Dan was ready to go back to a full-suspension bike, and, as luck would have it, Norco introduced its brand new Fluid FS around the same time. But it wouldn't be Dan's style to simply ride a bone-stock model straight from the sales floor, no matter how solid the component kit. The stock wheels were traded for some WeAreOne carbon rims, designed and produced in Kamloops, BC, the cockpit was upgraded with Chromag and Renthal parts, and an EXT Era fork was swapped in according to Dan's preferences for suspension feel. The shop-favourite Formula Cura brakes round out the parts package of this bike.

Sometimes less is more, and that's especially clear with this Fluid's simple black and silver paint scheme and components. This theme is carried over to the Fluid FS Alu lineup as a whole: capable trail geometry, simple aluminum frames, and well-chosen parts kits for every budget have made us all fans. Keep an eye out for this bike flashing by you on a trail this summer!

EXT Era fork has tons of adjustment for both the damper and air spring, as long as you don't get distracted by the Fluid's sparkling metalflake paint...

Stock Shimano XT rear derailleur is paired with a Zee crankset and made-in-Canada NSB ring.

Formula Cura brakes keep the silver theme going. Continental Kryptotal tires have found a lot of fans at the shop.

Big 35mm Renthal Fatbars are Dan-approved.

Pink nipples cap off the custom wheelset using WeAreOne carbon hoops and DT Swiss 350 hubs.

All-round trail ripper, built up by all-round trail ripper Dan.
