E-MTB Demo Day
Join us on June 14th at Hartland MTB Park for Oak Bay Bikes' E-MTB Demo Day - your chance to test the latest e-mountain bikes from Norco, with select models from Santa Cruz.
This is a free event, but we ask that you reserve your demo bike in advance. Time slots are available at 10 AM, 11:15 AM, 12:30 PM and each demo session lasts 1hr. Once you’ve got your ride, you’re free to hit the trails at your own pace and see how these bikes handle real terrain.

To take part in the demo day, you’ll need to book a 60 minute demo slot in advance. Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled time so we can get you set up on the bike. Once you're ready to ride, you're free to explore any of the trails within Hartland Bike Park (see the trail map).
A helmet is mandatory, so please bring your own. You’ll also need a valid ID to check out a bike. Wear appropriate riding gear for the weather and trail conditions. If you have a pedal preference, bring your own - otherwise, we’ll have some flat pedals and Shimano clips available.

Demo Day FAQs
Do I need to book a demo bike in advance?
Yes, we highly recommend booking your demo bike ahead of time to secure your spot. Walk-ups may be accommodated based on availability, but booking ensures you get the bike you want.
How long can I ride the demo bike?
Each demo session is 60 minutes long. Please arrive 15 minutes early so we can set you up and maximize your ride time.
Can I ride longer than the allocated time?
It's possible to take the bike for a double slot if it hasn’t been booked out, but this can only be arranged on the day of the event. Check with our team at the registration tent for availability.
Where can I ride the demo bike?
You're free to explore any of the trails within Hartland Bike Park. Check out the trail map to plan your ride.
What should I bring?
A helmet is mandatory, and you’ll need a valid ID to check out a bike. Wear weather-appropriate riding gear, and if you have a pedal preference, bring your own—otherwise, we’ll have flat pedals available.
Where do I check in?
Meet us at the car park next to Hartland Landfill—just look for our registration tent. Get directions here.
Will there be any exclusive deals on the day?
Yes! Exclusive discounts may be available for riders who attend the demo day. Ask our team on-site for details.
Can I test more than one bike?
If availability allows, you may be able to test multiple bikes. Check with staff at the registration tent to see what’s possible.
What happens if it rains?
The demo day will run rain or shine, so come prepared! In the event of extreme weather, we’ll post updates on our website and social media.
Demo Disclaimer
1. You must sign a waiver before you rent a bike from us.
2. You must be 19 years of age or older to rent a bike.
3. You are responsible for the bike if it gets stolen.
4. You are responsible for any damage that may occur to the bike. We do a thorough check-over when the bike goes out and again when it comes back in.
5. You must obey all applicable laws while riding our bikes. This means you must wear a helmet.
